THE YOGI’S CHIROPRACTOR

THE BRIDGE BETWEEN WEST AND EAST

Dr. Jeremy Brook has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and is a recognized specialist in the fields of chiropractic and yogic anatomy. His workshops combine modern western science and chiropractic principles of alignment with the ancient art of Hatha Yoga.

His work addresses a gap that he observed firsthand in the yoga community: yogis and teachers are deeply knowledgeable in the language of asana—but often lack foundational joint anatomy. The result is practitioners forcing postures their architecture was never designed to accommodate.

"Having lived in the yoga community, it has been my experience that yogis and teachers are extremely knowledgeable in the language of asana, but are deficient in joint anatomy. Being that humans have different body-mind constitutions, some 'final shape postures' may never happen because one's architecture isn't designed to move in that manner—so I created a curriculum to teach them how the body moves and flows from a chiropractic standpoint."

YOGA ANATOMY CURRICULUM

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

01 Architecture of the Human Body

A foundational deep-dive into the structural makeup of the human form, with special emphasis on the spine as the central axis of all movement.

02 The Neurology of Yoga

Why yoga belongs at the top of the wellness revolution—explained through the lens of modern neuroscience and chiropractic neurology.

03 Archetypal Distortion Patterns

Common structural patterns, compensation mechanisms, and recurring injuries—how to identify them and how to work around them in a safe practice.

04 Scientific Healing Vinyasa

Movement sequences designed from the laws of biomechanics—not tradition alone. Sequences that support the body's architecture rather than fight it.

ADVANCED CURRICULUM

SPINAL BIOMECHANICS SERIES

A special series for yoga teachers and advanced practitioners to go deeper into anatomy and biomechanics as it relates to asana. Each module is holistic in nature—explaining how each region of the spine affects the whole. Modules can be taken independently or in sequence.

01

Cervical Salutations

NECK ANATOMY

Everything you need to know about the cervical spine and how yoga influences it. Learn the 9 correct movements of the neck, which common cues should be retired, and techniques for unlocking the neck from pain and distress.

✚ STAND ALONE OR SERIES

02

The Thoracic Spine

Mid-Back & Rib Cage

The most misunderstood region of the spine. How the thoracic vertebrae relate to the rib cage, respiration, and shoulder mechanics—and what this means for your students' practice.

✚ STAND ALONE OR SERIES

03

The Lumbar Spine

Lower Back Biomechanics

The most common site of injury in yoga. The lumbar spine's designed ranges of motion, what forward folds actually do to the discs, and how to protect your students without limiting their practice.

✚ STAND ALONE OR SERIES

04

The Hips & Sacrum

Pelvis & Sacroiliac Joint

Hip anatomy demystified. The SI joint, its common dysfunction, and why so many yoga practitioners develop hip pain over time—and what to do about it.

✚ STAND ALONE OR SERIES

05

The Shoulder Complex

Upper Extremity Biomechanics

The shoulder is the most mobile—and most vulnerable—joint in the body. Understand the biomechanics of every vinyasa, arm balance, and inversion your students attempt.

✚ STAND ALONE OR SERIES

06

The Whole Person

Integration & Neurology

Where it all comes together. The neurological underpinning of the entire practice—how chiropractic science and yogic philosophy arrive at the same destination through different paths.

✚ STAND ALONE OR SERIES

THE FOUNDATION

SCIENCE + PHILOSOPHY =
a whole person.

It is easy for the yoga student to get buried deep in the biomechanics, physiology, and neurology of the human body. But having a basic understanding of these subjects can propel you to a higher level of health and connectedness.

This knowledge results in less pain, fewer injuries, accelerated recovery time, and enhanced performance. Not as abstract information—but as a lived, embodied understanding of how your structure supports your practice.

When we combine the science of the west with the philosophy of the east we get a complete person—a whole person—not just a body, not just a mind, but a mind connected to the body through an intricate network of nerves that are clear of interference.

🦴

Less Pain

Understanding joint mechanics means fewer injuries and a practice that supports rather than erodes the body.

🧠

Neurological Clarity

A clear spine is the foundation of every other system. Yoga done right clears the path.

Enhanced Performance

Anatomy knowledge translates directly to more intelligent cueing, safer sequences, and better student outcomes.

Complete Understanding

East meets west. Ancient wisdom gains precision. Modern science gains depth. The student gains both.
